Las Vegas isn’t known for modesty. Here are two examples of how Sin City is raising the stakes when it comes to indulgence.

Got $25,000 to spend at the Wynn Encore hotel and casino? The Encore Beach Clubhas unveiled what could be the most elaborate bottle service presentation in recent memory. The “Star of the Show” package features a 10-foot tall mechanical Ferris wheel that comes complete with its own music, pyro and confetti cannons. It seats four of the dayclub’s lovely servers who will show off their model looks while spraying you and your friends down with 20 bottles of champagne as they revolve. When it’s over, your party can take a moment to recover and spend the rest of the afternoon sipping from a six-liter Methuselah bottle of Perrier-Jouet.

A different kind of extravagance can be found west of the Strip, and can actually help a good cause if you have the skills to come out ahead.
Throughout the month of August, Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken at the Downtown Summerlin shopping center is offering a challenge to its customers. It’s called the Smorgasbird – a fried chicken sandwich stuffed with Game Day Fries (large-cut fries with BBQ chicken, smoked bacon, aged cheddar, sour cream and pickled peppers), more BBQ chicken, grilled pineapple, lettuce, tomato, Blue Ribbon Special Sauce and BBQ sauce.
20% of proceeds from the sale of the sandwich will be donated to the MS Society to battle Multiple Sclerosis.
Challengers are asked to consume the double-decker sandwich in five minutes or less and to then share a picture of the accomplishment with the tags #Smorgasbird, #MSSociety and @BlueRibbonFC.
