Southern California is one of the top markets for Cirrus Aviation customers, especially San Diego where the weather is spectacular, the beaches are beautiful, the hotels are luxurious, and there is no shortage of attractions. Check out some of our favorite reasons to visit the self-described "City in Motion."

San Diego Zoo

Nestled inside world famous Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo has more than 3,700 animals on display. Highlights include giant pandas and the largest collection of koala bears outside of Australia. Most of the zoo can be visited by a guided bus tour and there's the Skyfari, an overhead gondola ride that provides an aerial view of the exhibits.

Gaslamp Quarter

Covering just over 16 blocks in downtown San Diego, the Gaslamp Quarter features 94 historic buildings and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's home to numerous restaurants, bars, shops and hotels - including the new Pendry San Diego, which has made an immediate impact with its modern rooms, rooftop pool and sustainable seafood at Lionfish. The area is also within walking distance to Petco Park in the East Village, home of the San Diego Padres.

SeaWorld San Diego

The theme park and oceanarium can be found in San Diego's Mission Bay, and is home to more than two dozen animal habitats. They feature dolphins, whales, otters, sea lions, and more than 300 penguins. In response to growing criticism in recent years, SeaWorld reduced the scope of its killer whale program and is no longer breeding the creatures. It's a strong example of how the park is renewing its philosophy of putting animals first while also offering thrill rides, shows and other forms of entertainment.

USS Midway Museum

First put into operation at the end of World War II, the USS Midway aircraft carrier was decommissioned in 1992 and now sits at Navy Pier as the nation's most popular naval warship museum. A self-guided tours takes guests to 60 onboard locations. Other highlights include flight simulators and nearly 30 examples of restored vintage aircraft on deck.

As you can see, San Diego has lots to offer. Book a flight to the Southern Californian destination today via Cirrus Aviation Services. Just call 702-472-9714 and see how much fun you can pack into a single busy weekend.
