If you’re a winter sports enthusiast, you don’t want to miss the 2018 X Games. Witness the world's best skiing, snowboarding and snowmobile athletes live and in person from January 25 to 28. It’s 4 days of nonstop excitement – and what better way to start this exciting trip than by traveling in luxury and style via a private jet charter?
X Games Find a Fitting Backdrop in Aspen
The winter X Games debuted in 1997, appearing in Big Bear Lake, California; Crested Butte, Colorado; and Mount Snow, Vermont before finding an ideal backdrop at Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen, Colorado. The town's reputation for luxury and glamour enticed some of the world's foremost athletes to compete for medals in four action-packed days of competition. This year, Bobby Brown, Mark McMorris, Shaun White, and Torin Yater-Wallace will compete in the 2018 X Games. Make sure you keep a schedule of events close by to ensure you don’t miss your favorite stars.
Snow Will Fly at the 2018 X Games
Snow Bike-Cross racing enjoyed such a successful test debut last year that it returns this year – and with the addition of a “Best Trick” category. This freestyle discipline uses modified dirt bikes, replacing the front wheel with a ski and the rear wheel with a snowmobile track.
Most eyes will focus on the X Games' famed triumvirate:
- Skiing – Big Air, Slopestyle and Super Pipe
- Snowboarding – Big Air, Slopestyle, Super Pipe, and Special Olympics United
- Snowmobiling and Snow Biking – Freestyle, Speed & Style (returning to the lineup for the first time since 2015), Best Snow Bike Trick, and Snow Bike-Cross
Music Vies with Contests for Jet Charter Arrivals
Like the name recognition of the competing athletes, the caliber of the musical entertainment at the X Games continues to lure people of all ages to the Aspen mountainside. This year's performers include:
- Martin Garrix on Friday, January 26
- Method Man & Redman on Saturday, January 27
- LCD Soundsystem on January 27
- Marshmello on Sunday, January 28
