Spring is one of the best times of the year to visit Las Vegas. The sun is out, the weather is warming up and an incredible lineup of intriguing culinary events are hitting the calendar. Let's check out the ones that are making May a month to remember for foodies in Las Vegas.

Vegas Uncork'd

May 10-13

There's no doubt about it. The biggest culinary event of the year unfolds over four days at the Venetian, Caesars Palace, the Cosmopolitan and other high-profile destinations. The celebration offers foodies a chance to indulge in one-of-a-kind dinners and meet celebrity chefs like Gordon Ramsay and Giada de Laurentiis. Highlights include a Japanese dinner hosted by Nobu Matsuhisa and a multi-course evening of French cuisine by Guy Savoy. The Sunset Clambake at the Cosmopolitan and Picnic at the Park outside New York-New York are more casual affairs while the poolside Grand Tasting at Caesars Palace remains the climax of the festival.

Unparalleled Pairings

May 11

Ferraro's Italian Restaurant is hosting Unparalleled Pairings, a first-of-its kind dinner featuring wines by Feudi di San Gregorio and cognac by Hennessy. The drinks will be served during a four-course meal that begins at 6 p.m. Reservations are encouraged by contacting the restaurant in advance at 702-365-5300. The dinner is $125 per person plus gratuity.

Vegas UnStripped

May 12

Think of it as the locals' answer to Uncork'd. Chefs from off-Strip neighborhood restaurants are staging their own event at a secret location in the Downtown Arts District that isn't revealed until after the ticket is purchased. It's a rare opportunity to enjoy food from the culinary talents behind Other Mama, Esther's Kitchen, District One, Sparrow + Wolf and other acclaimed locals' favorites all in one night. The event begins at 9 p.m. and tickets are $65.

A Wine to Remember

May 19

From 6-9 p.m., the Silver Sevens will host a poolside wine tasting with a "Hot Night in Havana" theme to celebrate Cuban culture. The evening will feature rum cocktails, small bites, live music and a silent auction to benefit the Alzheimer's Association.

An Evening in Salamanca

May 24

Jaleo at the Cosmopolitan is celebrating Ibérico Week with a special tasting menu devoted to the tender Spanish ham that's $95 plus a $55 wine pairing May 20-27. However, on May 24, the week will culminate with "An Evening in Salamanca" — an intimate dinner with just 10 seats total. The price is $250 per person with a $150 wine pairing. The evening will feature several courses highlighting Ibérico along with stories about how the ham is raised from acorn-fed pigs. Reservations are available by calling 702-698-7950.

As you can see, there are plenty of excuses for food lovers to visit Las Vegas in May. Book a flight on board a luxury private jet with Cirrus Aviation Services and celebrate with some of the very best culinary offerings of the year. Call 702-472-9714 to make reservations today.
