A Country Star Brings a Taste of Nashville to the Vegas Strip

Posted by Cirrus Aviation on Dec 30, 2016 12:53:25 PM

A good honky tonk is hard to find in Las Vegas. That's why country star John Rich is bringing Redneck Riviera to the Grand Bazaar Shops in front of Bally's hotel and casino. The bar follows a "work hard, play hard" theme according to the guitar player and singer, who is one half of the country music duo Big & Rich. He recently gave a tour of the venue as construction was wrapping up.

Redneck Riviera features a large open-air room with a stage in the corner for live music seven days a week, starting as early as 11 a.m. Rich says he personally designed the sound system and hopes to feature name acts as well as up-and-comers. Performers can audition by applying online through Redneck Riviera's Facebook page. The venue is looking for acts who play everything from current music to the likes of Merle Haggard and Lynyrd Skynyrd

The latest nightclub attraction in Las Vegas is already proving to be a big hit. Jewel opened in May inside the Aria, taking over the space that was once home to Haze.

Jewel is easily an improvement. The dual level club covers about 24,000-square feet, which is just enough room to mix and mingle while offering a certain degree of intimacy.

When you’re on the ground, you’re never far from a Wi-Fi connection.

In the air however, it’s not always easy to find. Many commercial airlines offer Wi-Fi on board but passengers frequently choose not to pay for it since connections are often slow, service is spotty and prices are high.

That means long periods with no internet and no opportunities to communicate with family and friends, read the latest news, browse social media or get work done.
