We're well into August, but that doesn't mean summer's over. You can still stay busy in Las Vegas as the desert heat continues to rage on.

Here's what you can do over the next few weeks.

Eat at Libertine Social

The latest restaurant from Chef Shawn McLain can be found at Mandalay Bay. The new gastropub is designed to be a fun, casual spot with quick bites made from fresh ingredients. Make sure you try the caramelized fennel and sausage flatbread.

Drive a Porsche on the Strip

The Porsche Test Drive Experience runs from September 10 to October 8. Guests at the Mandarin Oriental can enjoy a two-hour drive around Las Vegas with their choice of two Porsche e-plug-in hybrid vehicles, the Panamera S E-Hybrid or Cayenne S E-Hybrid. It's just another excuse to book a room at this stylish hotel.

Hang out at a Steakhouse Bar

Bazaar Meat is easily one of the best steakhouses in Las Vegas, with multicourse dinners, and a wildly inventive menu courtesy of Chef Jose Andres. But if you just want a quick bite, grab a seat at the restaurant's Bar Centro. It's a great way to enjoy small bites like cotton candy foie gras, kobe beef airbread, fresh oysters or a suckling pig sandwich with plenty of time left over to party the night away at the club.

See an Outdoor Concert

Summer is the perfect time to see a concert downtown. On August 20, Melissa Etheridge will be one of the biggest acts in a while to play a free show on Fremont Street. Right around the corner at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, progressive rock pioneers Yes will play on August 27 while the Goo Goo Dolls and Collective Soul will celebrate the spirit of the 90s on September 16.

Catch the Olympics

The Olympics have offered plenty of excitement from the likes of Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt, but the summer games aren't over yet. Until August 21, you can watch the action at Crush inside the MGM Grand where a Vermont Cheddar and Applewood Bacon Burger is being paired with locally-brewed Bonanza Brown Ale from Tenaya Creek.
